In January this year, a group of student’s from Swinburne University in Melbourne participated in a cultural study tour of Nepal. The aim of this tour was to engage students in a formal study of culture by immersing them in Nepalese society.

Our Vice-President, Michelle Slattery, had the good fortune to be able to participate in this program and facilitated a group excursion to Astam and the Computer Centre for the students to view first hand the assistance coming from Australia and its impact on the community.

There has been a steady stream of people from Australia going to Nepal and visiting the village where we are working. Please send us an email if you are interested in a tour to the village and trekking in Nepal.
