Gender equality and the well-being of children are inextricably linked. When women are empowered to lead full and productive lives, children and families prosper. Better educated and empowered women have better educated children.
We have been committed to promoting gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls since our inception.
The majority of scholarship in our program have been awarded to girls. Our most prestigious scholarship with the largest stipend, the Anne van Riel Scholarship, was awarded exclusively to girls.
We have provided computers equipment and connect them to the internet. We also provided training programs that allowed local women’s cooperatives to maintain their computer centres.
We have provided training programs that have helped to lower the barriers women face in accessing information technologies. These programs have focused on their needs and aspirations.
