Mark Pinoli
CEO & Founder
Mark's love of the Himalayan region and it's people began almost two decades ago after a six months journey in India and Nepal and has returned numerous times to trek in the mountains of Northern India, Tibet and Nepal.
He has degrees in physics and social anthropologist, has worked in promoting social science research based policy development to the Government, is an information technology specialist, has a passion for digital technologies and photography, and is an intrepid traveller with a commitment to philanthropy. Since 2011, Mark has been sharing his enthusiasm for Nepal by helping with education and empowerment projects in rural Nepal and creating pathways for travellers, adventurers and volunteers to spend time in the villages where Logged On is working.

Dr Bruce Mackintosh
Chairman
Bruce has spent his career in higher education, as a university lecturer, a Faculty Sub-Dean, head of a residential college, and more recently as the Director of the International Centre at The University of Western Australia (UWA).
In this role, he travelled widely and developed an extensive cross-cultural understanding, secured numerous international bilateral student exchange and research agreements, collaborated on the internationalisation of Higher Education, and developed an international network of colleagues and institutions. Having recently retired from UWA, he is currently a Consultant in International Education, an Adjunct Associate Professor, and a part-time researcher in MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses). He has presented and published widely, has extensive editorial experience (most recently with “Making a Difference: Australian International Education”) and consults with government bodies and universities on international education policy and strategies. Bruce brings his experience and knowledge in teaching, international education, management and policy development to help us develop a firm strategic direction and ensure our mission to assist communities in need are fulfilled.

Thanks to Michael, Logged On was able to launch its scholarship program for the first time in 2012. He has taught in schools in Australia and the United Kingdom for over ten years and holds a Bachelor of Physical and Health Education and a Graduate Diploma in Education.
Michael is the Western Australian branch Manager for Australia’s largest member-based organisation specialising in education scholarships that enable parents to provide their children with greater education opportunities. He is a social and business entrepreneur who has provided start-up support to a number of businesses and is bringing his experience as a teacher and education planning advisor to Logged On with its closely aligned outcomes for underprivileged children in Nepal. Michael’s love of travel has taken him back to the Himalayas many times and it was his ‘discovery’ of the village of Astam in 2001, the site of Logged On’s first project, that helped connect a number of Australian aid organisations to the village.

Bishow Adhikari
Community Relations
Bishow is the Chairman of the Shree Bhumeshwor Lower Secondary School’s Management Committee and an Executive Member of the Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN), Western Region. He is also a member of the Hotel Association of Nepal, Vice-President of the Film City Project, and is a member of the Alumni Committee of the Gauri Shanker School in Hemja. Bishow has been an active participant in community work in the Dhital region for more than 10 years which has included the establishment of the Dhital Medical Centre. He has worked tirelessly as the Nepal coordinator for the Sister School Project between Gingin District High School in Australia and the Shree Bhumeshwor Middle School. When he is not volunteering his time helping the community, he is involved in running the family businesses which includes Amrit Treks and Expeditions, Marigold Hotel Pokhara and the Astam Ecovillage Resort.
Bishow was pivotal to the successful establishment of Logged On’s first Computer Centre and he is the coordinator of community consultation on current and future projects.
Ves Raj Bastola
Education and Training
Ves Raj has a Bachelor of Education in Maths and Science from the Prithwinarayan Campus (Pokhara) and is currently completing his Master of Sociology. He was a mathematics teacher and administrator at a boarding school for ten years and mathematics teacher for three years at the Shree Bhumeshwor Lower Secondary School becoming our computer teacher. Ves Raj also has been committed to youth welfare, having built a small classroom in his home to tutor students, especially teaching maths and sciences to disabled students. He is currently the President of the Hemja Youth Club and the President of Dyilo Agricultural Cooperative, a group that is dedicated to the sharing of knowledge and resources for subsistence farming in the region.
Ves Raj was also involved with Logged On’s first Computer Centre project from day one and has now become the computer teacher and the education consultant for our work in Astam.
